So I’ve finished the story, I have to slip in some additional material to finish the word count but I put everything into a single manuscript now and it is a sea of red squiggles and memories of things that occurred earlier in the work that I’d forgotten about at some point, names I need to replace or update and all sorts of other things. No doubt Flacidious will stop being called Flacidious and become something less flaccid Erectus maybe?
I wonder if the ending of the story felt cheap? Or rushed? Probably. There were several days where it felt like a hard slog to get through, but one must work on and get the thing done! Ah no matter.
No matter, I hope to have it cleaned up and presentable as a single work by the end of the month so that I can start writing something new on the 1st. Roll on December.
