Strawberry Crush

This is something that's been lurking at the outskirts of my conciousness for quite sometime now, say two or so years ever since the Goon brought it up once. A Battle Angel Alita live action movie written and directed by James Cameron. So every now and then I go out and find the same old toss from 2005/2006.
Todays little jaunt however yeilded me some mildly more interesting news, of course it's probably all bullshit but heyho.
IMDB says 2009 release schedule.
So the news?
Well it seems Cameron has kicked out his former writer and is rewriting the script himself.
It seems he has already found his leading girl (now lets hope she fits the bill - cute - black haired - small - something like Natalie Portman re Leon era)
Apparently the leading girl is a fan of the manga (however how often has you seen actors/actresses claim to be massive fans of the material blah blah blah)
Theres' other less interesting stuff too, but those I think were the most interesting parts.
